Curator Notes

Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana is the game that brought Gust’s long-running Atelier series out of Japan. Earlier entries had stayed home; this one, with its Mana spirits and item synthesis woven into exploration, was the first to be localized for North America. Gust published it in Japan in May 2004. NIS America released it in North America on June 28, 2005, beginning a partnership that carried Gust’s PlayStation 2 catalogue — Atelier Iris, Ar tonelico, and Mana Khemia — to this region over the following four years. The filing opens the Atelier lineage on the shelf. Its two sequels sit beside it, and the Mana Khemia games share the same series authority.

Collection Documentation

Purchased factory sealed and opened for custody while assembling the Gust PlayStation 2 shelf. The copy is mint and complete in box. The retained object is the standard North American PlayStation 2 edition published by NIS America (SLUS-21113), with manual and cover insert, kept as the reference copy for this filing. The reference photograph records the seven Gust PlayStation 2 holdings together, as filed in the Collection Hall under synthesis.
