Curator Notes

Atelier Ryza 2 returns to Reisalin Stout three years after Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout, and is the first game in the Atelier series to bring back its protagonist. It is the second chapter of the “Secret” storyline, built around ruin exploration and synthesis. Koei Tecmo released it in Japan on December 3, 2020, simultaneously on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5, and in North America on January 26, 2021. The filing extends the Atelier holdings on the shelf, under the same series authority as Atelier Lulua and the Gust PlayStation 2 games.

Collection Documentation

The retained object is Koei Tecmo’s retail edition of Atelier Ryza 2 on a Nintendo Switch game card. Dedicated artifact views of the individual copy have not yet been filed; the gallery below is held open for that documentation.

Playback Compatibility: Nintendo Switch software is region-free. The retained game card is the primary access copy and runs on any Nintendo Switch console.
Preservation Concerns: Game cards are flash media; long-term charge retention, contact wear, and loss of the small card from its case are the principal risks. Any content delivered as an eShop download or update depends on Nintendo’s servers and is not preserved by the card alone.
Edition History: Released in Japan on December 3, 2020 as ライザのアトリエ２～失われた伝承と秘密の妖精～; North America January 26, 2021, Europe January 29, 2021. A twelve-item season pass followed from March 2021, and a separate DX edition was issued in November 2025.
Access Status: Distributed at retail by Koei Tecmo, with a digital edition on the Nintendo eShop.
