Curator Notes

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk is Team Reptile’s skate-and-tag action game: Red and the crew of Bomb Rush Crew grind, trick, and spray their way across New Amsterdam to take the city back from rival crews and the police. It is an open homage to SEGA’s Jet Set Radio, with music contributed by Hideki Naganuma. The Dutch studio released it digitally on August 18, 2023, on Nintendo Switch and PC. iam8bit and Skybound Games issued the Switch physical edition on December 5, 2023.

Collection Documentation

Preservation Notes

Access Hardware: Nintendo Switch; compatible Nintendo Switch family hardware
Original Hardware: Nintendo Switch
Playback Compatibility: Nintendo Switch software is region-free. The retained game card is the primary access copy and runs on any Nintendo Switch console.
Preservation Concerns: Game cards are flash media; long-term charge retention, contact wear, and loss of the small card from its case are the principal risks. Any content delivered as an eShop download or update depends on Nintendo’s servers and is not preserved by the card alone.
Edition History: Released digitally on August 18, 2023 for Nintendo Switch and PC; PlayStation and Xbox versions followed in 2024. The Switch physical edition (HAC-P-A38GA) released December 5, 2023.
Access Status: Distributed at retail by iam8bit and Skybound Games, with a digital edition on the Nintendo eShop.
