Curator Notes

Clock Tower 3 is the series’ principal North American PlayStation 2 outing — co-produced with Sunsoft after Human Entertainment’s collapse, and directed with cinematic ambition uncommon for the brand’s earlier point-and-click lineage. Capcom’s retail disc (SLUS-20633) is the object this shelf can keep: pressed for NTSC-U consoles in March 2003, months after the Japanese release of December 2002. The filing is not an argument that every Clock Tower release belongs here. It is custody of the edition that carried the name onto this generation’s black DVD keep-case in North America — a survival-horror object that sits beside other optical holdings without pretending the series’ history was continuous or tidy. What matters on this shelf is the official Capcom packaging and the playable disc. Later ports and reissues are neighboring stories; they are not invented as substitutes for the pressed copy in custody.

Collection Documentation

Acquired in August 2026 while expanding the PlayStation 2 physical shelf. The retained copy is the North American PlayStation 2 edition published by Capcom (SLUS-20633). It remains complete in box with manual and cover insert, and is kept as the reference copy for this filing. Dedicated artifact views of the individual copy have not yet been filed; the gallery below is held open for that documentation.

Preservation Notes

Access Hardware
Sony PlayStation 2; compatible North American PlayStation hardware
Original Hardware
Sony PlayStation 2 · NTSC-U/C
Playback Compatibility
Pressed for North American PlayStation 2 consoles. The retained disc remains the primary access copy.
Preservation Concerns
Optical-disc aging and surface damage remain the principal risks. The disc is stored upright in its original case under stable, dry conditions; printed materials remain housed with the copy.
Edition History
First issued in Japan as クロックタワー3 on December 12, 2002. The North American Capcom localization followed on March 18, 2003 (SLUS-20633). European territories followed later in 2003.
Access Status
The original physical edition is out of print and circulates through the secondary market. No current digital edition replaces this North American reference copy.
