Curator Notes

Deadly Premonition 2 is both sequel and prequel: in present-day Boston, FBI agents reopen an old case, while flashbacks return York to Le Carré, Louisiana, a town explored on foot or by skateboard. SWERY wrote and directed it. It released exclusively on Nintendo Switch on July 10, 2020; a PC version followed in 2022. The filing follows Origins in the Deadly Premonition lineage.

Collection Documentation

The retained object is Rising Star Games’ retail edition of Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise on a Nintendo Switch game card. Dedicated artifact views of the individual copy have not yet been filed; the gallery below is held open for that documentation.

Preservation Notes

Access Hardware: Nintendo Switch; compatible Nintendo Switch family hardware
Original Hardware: Nintendo Switch
Playback Compatibility: Nintendo Switch software is region-free. The retained game card is the primary access copy and runs on any Nintendo Switch console.
Preservation Concerns: Game cards are flash media; long-term charge retention, contact wear, and loss of the small card from its case are the principal risks. Any content delivered as an eShop download or update depends on Nintendo’s servers and is not preserved by the card alone.
Edition History: Released on Nintendo Switch on July 10, 2020 (HAC-P-AVSUB); performance patches followed. A PC version released in June 2022.
Access Status: Distributed at retail by Rising Star Games, with a digital edition on the Nintendo eShop.
