Curator Notes

Etrian Odyssey is Atlus’ first-person dungeon crawler in which players chart each labyrinth by hand. The Origins Collection remasters the first three Nintendo DS games with new art, remastered music, difficulty settings, and on-screen mapping. It released worldwide on June 1, 2023. In North America and Europe it was digital only; the physical card was issued in Asia and Japan, and the Asian edition carries English text with all three games on the card. This filing opens the Etrian Odyssey lineage on the shelf.

Collection Documentation

The retained object is the Asian retail edition of Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection on a Nintendo Switch game card, holding all three games with English text. Dedicated artifact views of the individual copy have not yet been filed; the gallery below is held open for that documentation.

Preservation Notes

Access Hardware
Nintendo Switch; compatible Nintendo Switch family hardware
Original Hardware
Nintendo Switch
Playback Compatibility
Nintendo Switch software is region-free. The retained game card is the primary access copy and runs on any Nintendo Switch console.
Preservation Concerns
Game cards are flash media; long-term charge retention, contact wear, and loss of the small card from its case are the principal risks. Any content delivered as an eShop download or update depends on Nintendo’s servers and is not preserved by the card alone.
Edition History
Etrian Odyssey I, II, and III released on Nintendo DS between 2007 and 2010. The Origins Collection released worldwide on June 1, 2023; the Asian physical edition (HAC-P-A8ZEB) shipped with a DLC voucher that expired May 31, 2024.
Access Status
Physically distributed in Asia; the game is otherwise issued digitally or in other regional editions.
