Brian Horton, game director for Rise of the Tomb Raider and senior art director of the 2013 reboot, has decided to depart from Crystal Dynamics to join Infinity Ward as the studio art director.
Brian said earlier, via Tumblr: “After working on two amazing games, my family and I have decided to return to Southern California and start a new adventure.”
CharlieINTEL,a beloved twitter profile devoted to Call of Duty news, has confirmed through Brian’s LinkedIn profile that this “new adventure” is indeed at Infinity Ward.
Infinity Ward is known for their work in the Call of Duty franchise, and this is their year to put out a new series installment in the developers cycle.
With Horton on board, Infinity Ward may be poised to return to the forefront of graphic fidelity like they were back in the late 2000’s.
