Bayonetta 2 was the sequel Nintendo stepped in to publish, released on Wii U in Japan on September 20, 2014. PlatinumGames kept the first game’s Witch Time combat and added cooperative Tag Climax play. The Nintendo Switch version arrived on February 16, 2018, alongside the first Bayonetta. The filing sits between its predecessor and Bayonetta 3 in the Bayonetta lineage.

Collection Documentation

The retained object is Nintendo’s retail edition of Bayonetta 2 for Nintendo Switch. As issued in North America, the package also carries a download code for the first Bayonetta, which is not on the game card. Dedicated artifact views of the individual copy have not yet been filed; the gallery below is held open for that documentation.
