Curator Notes

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is the JRPG Suikoden creator Yoshitaka Murayama made with series veterans at Rabbit & Bear Studios: more than a hundred recruitable characters, a headquarters that grows into a town, and six-member turn-based battles. Its 2020 Kickstarter was the year’s most funded video game campaign. 505 Games released it worldwide on April 23, 2024. Murayama died that February, before its release. The filing joins Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising in the Eiyuden Chronicle lineage.

Collection Documentation

The retained object is 505 Games’ retail edition of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes on a Nintendo Switch game card. Dedicated artifact views of the individual copy have not yet been filed; the gallery below is held open for that documentation.

Preservation Notes

Access Hardware: Nintendo Switch; compatible Nintendo Switch family hardware
Original Hardware: Nintendo Switch
Playback Compatibility: Nintendo Switch software is region-free. The retained game card is the primary access copy and runs on any Nintendo Switch console.
Preservation Concerns: Game cards are flash media; long-term charge retention, contact wear, and loss of the small card from its case are the principal risks. A day-one update is needed for the intended release state, and the season pass story expansions are eShop downloads; neither is preserved by the card alone.
Edition History: Released worldwide on April 23, 2024 (HAC-P-A9RLA). A day-one patch and a three-part paid story expansion followed.
Access Status: Distributed at retail by 505 Games, with a digital edition on the Nintendo eShop.
