Curator Notes

The Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters rebuild the first six Final Fantasy games — from the 1987 Famicom original to the 1994 Super Famicom Final Fantasy VI — with redrawn sprites and a rearranged score. The console versions add the original-style soundtrack, font choices, and options to switch off random encounters. The Nintendo Switch versions released on April 20, 2023. This collection holds all six on one card; the Asian edition, released the same day, carries English text and no ESRB rating. The filing joins the Final Fantasy lineage on the shelf.

Collection Documentation

The retained object is Square Enix’s Asian Final Fantasy I–VI Collection on a Nintendo Switch game card, with all six Pixel Remasters and English text. Dedicated artifact views of the individual copy have not yet been filed; the gallery below is held open for that documentation.

Preservation Notes

Access Hardware
Nintendo Switch; compatible Nintendo Switch family hardware
Original Hardware
Nintendo Switch
Playback Compatibility
Nintendo Switch software is region-free. The retained game card is the primary access copy and runs on any Nintendo Switch console.
Preservation Concerns
Game cards are flash media; long-term charge retention, contact wear, and loss of the small card from its case are the principal risks. Any content delivered as an eShop download or update depends on Nintendo’s servers and is not preserved by the card alone.
Edition History
Final Fantasy I released on Famicom in 1987; Final Fantasy VI on Super Famicom in 1994. The Pixel Remasters reached PC and mobile in 2021–2022, and Nintendo Switch on April 20, 2023 (HAC-P-BAQ7A for this collection).
Access Status
Physically distributed in Asia; the game is otherwise issued digitally or in other regional editions.
