Curator Notes

Spirit Hunter: Death Mark II returns Kazuo Yashiki to H City, posing as a teacher to investigate disappearances at Konoehara Academy. It adds side-scrolling exploration and a partner system to the series’ first-person investigation. Experience released it in Japan on December 1, 2022; Aksys Games issued it in North America on February 15, 2024. The filing follows Death Mark in the Spirit Hunter lineage.

Collection Documentation

The retained object is Aksys Games’ retail edition of Spirit Hunter: Death Mark II on a Nintendo Switch game card. Dedicated artifact views of the individual copy have not yet been filed; the gallery below is held open for that documentation.

Preservation Notes

Access Hardware: Nintendo Switch; compatible Nintendo Switch family hardware
Original Hardware: Nintendo Switch
Playback Compatibility: Nintendo Switch software is region-free. The retained game card is the primary access copy and runs on any Nintendo Switch console.
Preservation Concerns: Game cards are flash media; long-term charge retention, contact wear, and loss of the small card from its case are the principal risks. Any content delivered as an eShop download or update depends on Nintendo’s servers and is not preserved by the card alone.
Edition History: Released in Japan on December 1, 2022 (PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch). North American release February 15, 2024 (HAC-P-A8HAB), alongside PlayStation 5 and PC.
Access Status: Distributed at retail by Aksys Games, with a digital edition on the Nintendo eShop.
