Curator Notes

Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance sets Killia and a band of overlords against Void Dark and his Lost army. Disgaea 5 Complete brought it to Nintendo Switch on May 23, 2017 — one of NIS America’s early Switch releases — with every bonus scenario, character, and class that had been paid content on PlayStation 4. The filing joins the Disgaea lineage on the shelf.

Collection Documentation

The retained object is NIS America’s retail edition of Disgaea 5 Complete on a Nintendo Switch game card. Dedicated artifact views of the individual copy have not yet been filed; the gallery below is held open for that documentation.

Preservation Notes

Access Hardware: Nintendo Switch; compatible Nintendo Switch family hardware
Original Hardware: Nintendo Switch
Playback Compatibility: Nintendo Switch software is region-free. The retained game card is the primary access copy and runs on any Nintendo Switch console.
Preservation Concerns: Game cards are flash media; long-term charge retention, contact wear, and loss of the small card from its case are the principal risks. Any content delivered as an eShop download or update depends on Nintendo’s servers and is not preserved by the card alone.
Edition History: Disgaea 5 released on PlayStation 4 in Japan in March 2015. Disgaea 5 Complete released in North America on May 23, 2017 (HAC-P-AACAC), and Europe on May 26, 2017.
Access Status: Distributed at retail by NIS America, with a digital edition on the Nintendo eShop.
